detective search work

from Boingboing.net I found myself on http://searchresearch1.blogspot.gr/ where a sort of competition was held about searching. So the answer to it is a zoom onto the image revealed the inscription on the building Palau de la Generalitat a google search gave up the Palau de la Generalitat de Catalunia where Wikipedia had an image at the bottom Courtyard of the orange trees (Pati dels Tarongers) another google search in spanish gave up Viquipedia article which google translate revealed the date of the first tree planted as 28 jan 1534. Another look at google maps this time revealed some photos, one of which seems to be from the same place as well and shows tall Washingtonian (i think) trees.
